The message of Jesus was all life and that message is the LifeGate call.

The Psalmist said, "For with YOU is the fountain of life and in YOUR light, we see light".

After storm devastation, The LifeGate was established in March 2008 in Metairie and in Mandeville with the challenge and the call of "Building Christ Into Every Life”.

Each week, people, just like you, from five parishes gather to experience a Word and Worship moment that will not just sustain them for another day but will help them grow strong and stable for these unstable times.

The Word in each LifeGate gathering will be relevant, faith filled and real.

The Worship is a balanced celebration of current contemporary sounds mixed with gospel and majestic hymns of the Faith.

As pastors, having walked through some big storms and having dealt with destruction and desolation on many levels, Michael and Linda Green answered the call to stand steady and speak words of encouragement and blessing to a people and region that needed a place of safety, applicable truth and abundant life. Their message is not low impact, low power or faddish in content but it is the clear sound that has been birthed through faith, fire, consistency and trust in God.

The LifeGate has become a place for the weary, the discouraged and the growing by pointing people to Calvary and Heavenward.

The LifeGate North and The LifeGate South not mere places of meeting but an ever expanding reality of The Word, Our Worship and Our Walk. Throughout this region, North or South, Metairie or Mandeville, Michael, Linda and the LifeGate Family are there.

Ina time when marketing and manipulation gets mistaken for ministry, the LifeGateis a breath of fresh air on both sides of the lake. The LifeGate is about building strong people people strong in the Word who, because of a solid Word and Worship foundation, grow, love and serve.

We live in a time where the time tested Truths of God’s Word are getting clouded by the trappings of convenience over covenant and the commercial but powerless repackaging of the Word to make it more socially acceptable. In the face of that, The LifeGate is a forward looking family that has decided to embrace the foundation call that brings Glory to the Father by equipping Believers.

With clear focus, the "Building Christ Into Every Life” mission begins with placing value on our growth in the WORD (The Word that is solid, sharp, alive and completely relevant in all we touch), in our WORSHIP (With strong prayer,intercession and the singing of Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs that will increase the knowledge of God’s Promise and Presence in our lives.) and in our WALK (The Word and Worship must connect and directly relate to each part of our daily Walk. This deals with testimonies of our fellowships, our passions, our dealings and our community relations).

The threads of these foundational truths can be found in each gathering, enrichment class, home group and even the food and fellowship times. It is our focus, our LifeGate challenge.

We believe that God is passionate about each one of us and we believe that His Word is the perfect guide book for experiencing His very best for us. We also believe that the local church is God’s family and that He wants us to grow and serve Him and others.

The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, "Stand in the gate of the LORD’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, ”ËœHear the word of the LORD, all you of Judah who enter in at these gates to worship the LORD!’” Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: "Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
